I originally drew it, then took a crappy picture of it, then I uploaded it to Facebook, then I downloaded it from Facebook, then I tweaked it in Photoshop, and I later plan to color it in GIMP.

Well anyhoo, this is me furthering my process on a piece that was already complete.

Y'know, I probably should've done some of this stuff before I tried my character designs. I'm feeling alot more natural with these.

Touchstones: Object design

This one goes out to the various sources that have influenced, in some shape or form, the way I design things for whatever I may need to.

WETA (do you capitalize all of that?) Studios. 

Which reminds me of Stan Winston (now Legacy I believe) Studios.

Which segues into Appleseed.

The guns...and kinda Briareos. 

Which somehow takes me to the punks...cyber and steam.

 Which takes me directly to Steampunk fashion.

Which takes me to both Victorian/Renaissance fashion and the weird and kinda spooky.

But alongside the Steampunk fashion I am reminded of things like Heavy Metal.

Which makes me think of Unreal Tournament.

And for now this is all that comes to my mind.

This was supposed to be a simple warm-up piece...

But this just kinda up and took off from me. This is something that I'm really happy with, save for the koi's scales.I probably could've taken a simpler approach to doing them, but I just went off and, well, lessons were learned. I really like the woman, though I have no idea as to who she is supposed to be.
